Engagement Session @ Mandalay Canal
Mandalay Canals in Las Colinas is one of the great hidden secrets in Dallas. Walking along the canal bank feels like you have been transported to the canals in Venice, Italy. There are beautiful stores and restaurants that line the bank and there is even a gondola you can rent to take you on a trip down the canal. My couple picked a beautiful Saturday in April to have their session. #outdoorsession #engagement #northtexasbride #addisonengagement #dallasweddingphotographer #df

2019 Wedding Trends
Earthy and Boho Earthy decor elements are all the rage this year. Rattan and woven accents are one of the most popular elements right now and can be seen in furniture, decor and bouquets. Sinage Fun and functional signs like lightboxes and large letters show off the couples fun side. Useful Favors This is a super cute trend that has taken off en-light of couples being more in line with a minimalist lifestyle. Couples are choosing favors that their guests will actually want to

Music is Love
This wedding is a serious contender for one of the most fun weddings I have ever had the chance to not only photograph, but to also attend. From the time I got there til the last dance it was a non-stop stream of laughing, dancing and fun. These two lovebirds met through the band they both play in and have clearly been having the time of their lives ever since. And, as you’d expect, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were just as much fun. I mean, there are wedding parties… and th

Planning your wedding for the best photos
The Venue: Venues with big open windows that fill the room with natural light. NOT dark-lit rooms with yellow or dim light. Outdoor venues with the ceremony starting at the beginning of golden hour, NOT at noon. When I can, like for family photos I will move you to the best light depending on where the sun has moved. I want you to have the best photos with out harsh shadows or having you squint into the light. When it comes to reception light and the exit, I have you covered.

Vintage Styled Shoot
When I first saw River Road Chateau, I KNEW I wanted to photograph it the location absolutely stunning! I quickly pulled a team together to create a beautiful wedding editorial. Romantic, lace dresses from The Bridal Shoppe in Wylie , stunning bouquets and centerpieces by Rose Rebellion, simple and elegant place settings by Tea Crockery. A uniquely stunning one of a kind flower wall by Linda Grace and the stunning hair and make-up by Janet Herrera Artistry were all I needed f

Every girl dreams of being a Princess
I always love photographing weddings. There's so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Luisa & Alex’s wedding, either! All those little moments leading up to the wedding. The wedding was at The Castle at Rockwall. I simply adored the vintage parasols Luisa and her bridesmaids carried. You could tell they were really loving every minute of their special day surrounded by family and frien

How to beautifully display your images
You have all these amazing pictures from your engagement and wedding but how do you display them and share them with your guests? Often times in our homes we have this overbearing wall as the focal point in our living room and know we should put something there. But what? The task seems daunting. Luckily with Pinterest we can gather inspiration and decide if we should do our favorite quotes mixed in with our favorite photos or just the photos themselves. A good start is with

Ready to ring in the New Year
As 2017 comes to an end we are so grateful for all of our beautiful brides and grooms that trusted us to capture their wedding day. We know they are putting all their trust in us with a very important decision and I'm glad they did. I created a fun highlight video from these last few months of my favorite photos from these weddings. I'll see you in 2018 and look forward to growing the Moxie Rose family. #rosechapel #rusticwedding #texasweddings #northtexasbride #offbeatbride
